Job Description
We have an immediate opportunity for a
Senior Designer – Pumps/Piston to join our diverse engineering team of
Industrial Pumps & Motors. Execute product customization requirements of
existing Hydraulic Pumps and Motors, to meet customer specific requirements.
Provide CAD support to NPI and VA/VE projects. Suggest continuous improvement
actions to improve productivity and quality of deliverables of existing product
engineering.
The Senior Designer will be responsible for design and development
for hydraulic Piston pumps for Industrial Pumps & Motor business unit. As a

be responsible for contributing technologies which can change the economics of
Industrial business. You will design hydraulics pump and motor systems,
generate IP, plan and support to execute field trials to understand their
needs, and work closely with the team to assess business impact and
constraints. You must be proficient with new product development methodologies,
tools and practices, and must have experience of full life cycle development of
hydraulics or relevant domain products, on multiple projects including
requirements, design, development, and testing.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this
position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Perform
product customization & release engineering documents for customer,
production & pricing.
- Manage
Engineering Change requests and maintain revision control via PDM /PLM
tools.
- Evaluate
and support manufacturing, supplier and customer requests.
- Application
of Geometric dimension and tolerance, stack-up analysis on component and
assembly drawings.
- Develop
assembly and component drawings for as per ASME and Industry standards.
- Design
of castings and forgings as per ASME and Industry standards
- Plan
own work to meet priorities to meet On-time delivery and quality.
- Communicate,
work & understand cross functional and global team.
- Lead
continuous improvement of engineering change management processes and
tools.
- Performs
quality checks to ensure design meet Company and customer standards /
requirements.
- CAD-
support new product development and VA/VE projects.
- Study
and keep abreast with engineering analysis of hydraulic product and
components.

ideal candidate possesses these skills.

- Diploma
in in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years of product customization and
design experience
- Expertise
in 3D CAD tools – ProE WIldfire, UG, Solid works etc.
- Knowledge
of Engineering change management process.
- Experience
on PDM / PLM tools like Enovia, team centre etc.
- Knowledge
of ASME and ISO standards.
- Knowledge
of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and Stack Up analysis.
- Awareness
of Root Cause Analysis, 8D methodology awareness.
- Awareness
of manufacturing processes like casting, forging, machining and inspection
processes.
- Pro/E
Wildfire 3.0/5.0 and AutoCAD working experience
- Knowledge
of piston pumps and motor design will be added advantage
- Exposure
to manufacturing processes, tool design
- Understanding
of Hydraulics circuit.
